Nb: Most likely because of his high age (79), the author made some mistakes in writing this article about Captain Alcock’s death. First of all, this man didn't died a few years after his Atlantic airplane crossing, but only a few months later, in December 1919. Then the place of his death (of the crash) wasn't in the Eure near Vernon, but in Normandy near Cottévrard, 70 km north of Vernon. Finally, Captain Alcock was effectively flying a prototype of plane to France (the Vickers Viking), not to deliver it to the Ateliers des Mureaux, but to the first post-war Paris air show, at this time at the Grand Palais.
